The Offshore Group’s 17th Annual Manufacturing in Mexico Summit has been configured with the intent of enabling attendees to collect an ample amount of critical information in a condensed time frame.
In addition to providing attendees with a chance to speak directly with executives and plant manager level personnel while touring operational Mexico manufacturing facilities, The Offshore Group has put together an informational speaking program for the purpose of covering relevant and critically useful topics.

Chas is an experienced performance improvement professional with over a decade of experience in management consulting, with a focus on operational cost reduction. He currently leads the Latin America practice at AlixPartners.
Chas has conducted high-impact cost reduction activities and sourcing projects for major corporations and on behalf of PE firms around the globe. Chas also conducts an annual survey across 80+ senior executives on Global-Nearshoring and has been the featured speaker at a number of international manufacturing conferences.

Steve has 30 years of Customs experience and is the President and founder of FOCUS Business Solutions, Inc. FOCUS is a Customs management and consulting firm located in southeast Michigan providing trade program and other Customs solutions for companies doing business internationally. FOCUS has been providing complete NAFTA services for numerous customers of The Offshore Group for over a decade.
Over the course of his career Steve has held management positions at one of the larger customs brokers in the U.S. He also worked as the North American Customs and Compliance Manager for ITT Automotive, a major tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Prior to starting FOCUS he worked as a Customs Administrator for General Motor’s Tax Staff. In addition, he has held numerous positions in various trade organizations and is a licensed customhouse broker
Clarence H. “Chuck” Yahn

C. H. Yahn has had extensive experience in manufacturing including that of VP Manufacturing for a major international corporation and was personally involved in the startup/management of five maquiladora production facilities in Mexico. He has also been President and CEO of manufacturing companies in Latin America, Europe and America. He has been involved in venture capital and entrepreneurial activities in the field of consumer durables and OEM suppliers.
Mr. Yahn joined The Offshore Group as a regional business development director to work with and consult to those firms seeking opportunities for significant cost reductions through use of Offshore’s “Shelter Program” in Mexico
His undergraduate degree is in mathematics/physics and his graduate degree is in International business. He has been on the Board of Directors of the American Graduate School of International Management and has also served on the Boards of National Trade Associations as well as the Board of Directors of many Corporations.
Also included in the speaking portion of the program is an informative Q&A Roundtable during which attendees will be able to pose questions to a panel comprised of highly experienced maquildora manufacturing executives and plant manager personnel.
